Privacy notice
How we handle personal data submitted through this website.
Who we are
This website is operated by ProjectData SRL (“ProjectData”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Romania under registration number 42145678.
For any question about this notice, or to exercise any of the rights described below, contact us at office@projectdata.dev.
What this notice covers
This notice covers personal data we collect through this website. It does not cover personal data processed under a client engagement, which is governed by the contract and any data processing agreement in place for that engagement.
What we collect
We collect only what you send us.
- Contact form submissions. Your name, work email address, company, and the description of the problem you are asking about. Optionally, your role, an approximate project scope or budget, and how you heard about us.
- Email correspondence. If you email us directly, we hold that correspondence and the contact details it contains.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical information about requests to the site, including IP address, timestamp, requested URL and user agent, for security and operational purposes.
- Analytics data, only if you accept. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics 4 records the pages you view, the referring site, approximate location derived from your IP address, and technical details such as device and browser, against a randomly generated identifier stored in a cookie. It does not tell us who you are. If you decline, none of this is collected.
We use no advertising or retargeting technologies, and we do not build marketing profiles of visitors. The cookies involved are listed in our cookie notice.
Why we process it, and on what legal basis
- To reply to your inquiry and discuss a possible engagement. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to business inquiries, and steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract.
- To maintain a record of business correspondence. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping an accurate record of commercial discussions.
- To keep the website secure and operational. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in protecting our systems, and compliance with legal obligations where applicable.
- To measure how the website is used. Legal basis: your consent, given through the cookie banner. Analytics is disabled until you accept, and you can withdraw consent at any time from our cookie notice.
We do not use the details you send us for marketing without your consent, and we do not sell or share them for anyone else's marketing.
Who has access to it
Access is limited to the people at ProjectData who need it to respond to you. We also use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:
- Vercel Inc. - website hosting and delivery of this site and its contact endpoint.
- Resend (Plus Five Five, Inc.) - transactional email delivery for contact form submissions.
- Google Ireland Limited - Google Analytics 4, for website traffic measurement.
These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, and, for providers certified under it, by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework adequacy decision. We do not transfer personal data to any provider that offers neither safeguard.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiry correspondence for as long as it is commercially relevant and then delete it, and in any case no longer than 24 months after our last contact with you, unless we have entered into a contract or are required to keep records for longer.
Hosting logs are retained according to our hosting provider's standard retention period. Google Analytics data is retained for 14 months, the maximum the platform allows for event data.
Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, you have the right to request access to the personal data we hold about you; to have inaccurate data corrected; to request erasure; to request restriction of processing; to object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interests; and to receive data you provided to us in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, write to office@projectdata.dev. We will respond within the period required by law.
If you believe we have handled your personal data improperly, you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. In Romania this is the National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP).
Security
We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted transport (HTTPS) for all traffic to this site and restricted access to inquiry correspondence. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim certification under any specific security standard.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we handle personal data collected through this site - for example by adding or removing a measurement tool - we will update this notice and change the date at the top.
